I am a doctoral candidate in sociology at the University of Cologne and the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies. My research fields are economic sociology, labor markets, higher education, science studies, and social stratification. In my dissertation, I study the making of career aspirations in business schools. Most recently, I published an edited collection of German campus ethnographies, titled Ethnografie der Hochschule.

Before coming to Cologne, I worked at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), the Institute of Economic and Social Research (WSI), and the Max Planck Institute of Economics. From 2009 to 2016, I studied socio-economics (B.A.) and sociology (M.A.) in Nuremberg, Jena, Berkeley, and Dublin, funded by the Hans Böckler Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service. During Spring 2019, I was a visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York.
